I'm sorry, but there's something completely wrong with Gunther's origins. Since I'm, for some reason, not allowed to edit the site directly I saw no other option than to write about it here..

The wikia-site says he's from Norway, however in the episode Battle for the 'Snax, all the flags hanging around Gunther's family's restaurant shows the flag of Skåne, the southernmost area of Sweden.

I'm not sure whether it's the site or the series in general that has completely misunderstood all the national themes used around Gunther and his family. He wears German lederhosen in an episode, has a Dutch friend in another - both aren't exactly The Old Country, which means Scandinavia (i.e. Norway, Denmark or Sweden are the only real options).

The fact that Gunther's family are mostly vikings means they can be from any Scandinavian country.

And the cloggs he wears, I'm sure, has gotof absolutely nothing to do with his nationality, but instead suggests his clumsy and somewhat nerdy character, due to the huge debate about how they look silly despite them being comfortable footwear.

Last, I don't find the need to say that most of the sites really needs improvement when it comes to grammar and spelling mistakes.

Thank you for your time.

  • Well, about Gunther's origins, I'm also kinda confused about it. Because of all these informations, plus, at the end of Kick the Habit, when Gunther's room is shown, can be seen a Norway poster. Maybe it's a mistake from the own cartoon. You should ask Sandro Corsaro about it. If you want to, talk to him on his twitter.
