"Power Play" is the 37th. episode of Season 2 of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.

Plot[]

The episode opens during a rehearsal of Mellowbrook Elementary School's production of Romeo and Juliet, with Ronaldo and Kendall playing the title roles. Among a small handful of students watching the rehearsal, Kick watches in boredom as both players practice reading their lines, complaining that he "can't handle any more drama."

In his attempt to escape the auditorium (he springboards off his seat towards the exit), he is stopped by Mr. Huang, the school's drama teacher. Mr. Huang encourages Kick to take theater seriously, and assigns him the role of Ronaldo's understudy - in case anything ever happens to Ronaldo, Kick becomes the new Romeo.

Worried about playing the lead alongside Kendall, Kick makes every effort to protect Ronaldo from danger, and becomes his bodyguard in disguise. But once Ronaldo figures out his motive for protecting him, he uses it to blackmail Kick into helping him do whatever he pleases.

At the play's opening night, Kick is seen backstage with Mr. Huang, relieved that Ronaldo is safe and performing on-stage. Suddenly, a sandbag falls on Ronaldo, leaving Kick to fill the role as Romeo. It is revealed that Kendall removed the peg that was holding the sandbag so Ronaldo would get hit and Kick would have to fill in (assuming she wanted to kiss him instead). Just before they kiss, Kick fakes an injury, leaving Mr. Huang and Gunther to distract the audience with a dance routine.

Ending[]

Mr. Huang and Gunther continue tap dancing to the astounded audience, then they magically flew away and yelled "WWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
